WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University's women's tennis team shut out visiting East Stroudsburg, 9-0, in a PSAC East match on South Campus Wednesday afternoon.
West Chester (9-4, 2-0 PSAC East) remained unbeaten in conference play while East Stroudsburg (0-9, 0-1) dropped its conference opener.
Claire Uhle (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon), Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County), Rylee Power (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown), Abriana Nolan (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) and
Alyssa Rees (Morgantown, W.Va./University) were all double winners.
Steph Cifarelli (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at sixth singles while
Amalie Hartman (Cleona, Pa./Annville-Cleona) teamed up with Nolan at third doubles for a win.
West Chester travels to Bloomsburg on Saturday for another PSAC East showdown.
