WEST CHESTER, Pa. –
Abbie Dischert (Wilmington, Del./Concord) and
Rachel Robb (Blackwood, N.J./Paul VI) led the team with 17 kills apiece while
Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) recorded 62 assists to lead West Chester to a pair of wins on the opening day of the Ram Fest at Hollinger Field House Friday.

West Chester swept both its matches Friday by identical scores of 3-0. The Golden Rams topped Daemen College by scores of 25-18, 26-24, 26-24 and got the better of West Virginia Wesleyan by the measure of 25-16, 26-24, 25-8.

Dischert hit .297 for the two matches while Robb posted a .282 hitting percentage.

Grammer added 11 digs and six blocks her assist total on the afternoon.
Allie Duffy (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) led the team with seven blocks.

West Chester won two of the three sets against Daemen by scores of 26-24 while taking one set from West Virginia Wesleyan 26-24. The Golden Rams were 3-for-3 in sets that went longer than the regulation 25 points.

West Chester returns to the hardwood of Hollinger Field House on Saturday with matches against Shaw and Philadelphia University at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
