Men's Soccer Drops 3-2 Decision To Georgian Court

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - West Chester fell in a 3-2 decision at the hands of Georgian Court in a non-conference men's soccer match Thursday afternoon.
 
West Chester (5-3-2) came up short against Georgian Court (6-3) despite outshooting the Lions, 13-9.
The Rams were determined to strike first. In the 24th minute, Tyler Rapposelli (Reading, Pa. / Fleetwood) scored his first goal of the season as a result of a deflection off a Georgian Court defender.
 
Colin Hester (Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) scored his second goal of the season on a breakaway, after stealing the ball from a GCU defender.

Halftime proved to be a turning point for GCU. The Lions scored their three goals within seven minutes of each other to erase a two-goal deficit, giving them the push they needed to secure the win.
 
West Chester goalkeeper Matt Palmer (Bangor, Pa. / Bangor) made two saves despite the loss.
 
Georgian Court goalkeeper Aleksander Milosevic only allowed two goals with six saves in the win.
 
The Golden Rams held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
 
West Chester will travel to Holy Family University on Monday, October 3rd in a non-conference match beginning at 4 p.m.
