WEST CHESTER, Pa. - In a battle of two of the top six programs in the region, a short-handed Edinboro squad squeezed out a 5-4 victory over homestanding West Chester on South Campus Friday night.
Edinboro (1-0) defaulted at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles, but still rallied to top West Chester (2-1) on the road.
Rylee Power (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) was a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 winner at first singles while
Elaina Rochford (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was also a winner at fourth singles.
