Lock Haven, Pa.-The West Chester University women's volleyball team(12-4, 2-3 PSAC) continued their road swing traveling to Lock Haven (8-9, 1-4 PSAC) on Friday night. The Golden Rams went on to win in four sets 25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 25-18.
How it happened:
- The first set was tight the entire way but the Golden Rams would ultimately pull out the victory by a score of 25-23.
- The second set was close was once again and West Chester was able to earn another hard-fought victory to jump out to a 2-0 in the match.
- Lock Haven battled hard in the third set taking this set by a score of 25-22 to send the match to a fourth set.
- In the fourth set the Golden Rams continued to battle earning a 25-18 set win and a 3-1 match victory.
Inside the Numbers:
- Abbie Dischert(Wilmington, De./Concord) led the Golden Rams in kills with 15 while also chipping in four blocks and seven digs.
- Nicki Yates(Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) contributed in her usual way recording a team high 31 digs to help solidify the Golden Rams defense.
- Jillian Grammer(Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) had another strong match as she recorded 38 assists to help facilitate the Golden Ram offense.
- West Chester recorded a hitting percentage of .109 while holding Lock Haven to a .077 hitting percentage.
- West Chester also held a crucial 11-7 advantage in blocks on the evening.
