Men's Basketball Opens Up PSAC Tournament At Bloomsburg Monday Night

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - West Chester University travels to Bloomsburg for first round of the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament Monday evening. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. inside Nelson Field House.
 
Tickets to Monday's first-round playoff game are: Adult - $10, Student age - $5, Free admission for students from member institutions with valid school ID. PSAC passes are accepted. West Chester (13-14) has been playing its best basketball as of late. The Golden Rams are coming off a loss in its regular-season finale to No. 6 Kutztown. However, West Chester gave the sixth-ranked team in Division II all that it could handle right to the final buzzer. Bloomsburg (15-11) is coming off a home victory in its regular-season finale against Lock Haven on Saturday. The Huskies finished the regular season in a tie for fourth place with West Chester at 11-11 in league play. However, Bloomsburg won both meetings with West Chester this winter and held the tie-breaker for the right to host this first-round game.

West Chester is 2-5 all-time against Bloomsburg in the PSAC Tournament and 1-3 all-time inside Nelson Field House. However, the Golden Rams have won the last two playoff encounters with the Huskies (2012 and 2014), including their only road win in 2012.

A West Chester win tonight would advance the Golden Rams to the PSAC Quarterfinals, which would be Wednesday against Kutztown on the road.
