SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – West Chester University's women's tennis squad shut out another PSAC East opponent with its 9-0 win on the road over host Shippensburg on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon.

West Chester (12-2, 4-0 PSAC East), ranked eighth in the ITA Atlantic Region Polls, pushes its string of consecutive 9-0 shutouts over divisional rivals to 14 straight. Overall, the Golden Rams have now won 20 straight PSAC East women's tennis matches, dating back to 2013-14. Shippensburg (3-6, 1-1) saw its modest two-match win streak come to a close while dropping its first conference match of the season.

Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County),
Rylee Power (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown),Â
Abriana Nolan (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) and
Steph Cifarelli (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) were all double winners for the Golden Rams as well as taking their singles matches and doubles competitions.

Uhle, ranked ninth in the ITA Atlantic Region rankings, teamed up with Shaak, ranked 16th, for an 8-0 win at first doubles. Uhle and Shaak are ranked fourth regionally as a doubles team. Power and
Grace Towler (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) were 8-4 winners at second doubles while Nolan and Cifarelli were 8-2 winners at third doubles.

All six singles matchers were straight-set wins for the Golden Rams. Powers' 6-0. 6-0 win at third singles was the clinching match. Shaak was also a 6-0, 6-0 winner at second singles while Uhle was a 6-1, 6-1 winner. Nolan won 6-3, 6-1 at fourth singles while
Sophie Rathmell (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey) was a 6-3, 6-0 win at fifth singles. Cifarelli was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at sixth singles.
