Roelker and Rochford Reach Quarterfinals of PSAC Individual Championships

FINAL RESULTS

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – West Chester University's doubles team of Leandra Roelker (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury) and Elaina Rochford (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) reached the quarterfinals of the 2017 PSAC Individual Championships at the Burt Reese Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.
 
The Golden Rams singles entrants did not make it out of the first round.
 
Rylee Power (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) and Shannon Nixon (Wyncote, Pa./Cheltenham) dropped their first-round doubles match to a tandem from Seton Hill, 8-4. Roelker and Rochford topped their opponents from IUP, 8-2, in what was a huge win for the Golden Rams.
 
Those two continued to play very well in the quarterfinals, narrowly upsetting the 3-4 seeds from Slippery Rock, but falling in the end, 9-7.
