Abbie Dischert (Wilmington, Del./Concord) posted a team-best 14 kills, and
Rachel Robb (Blackwood, N.J./Paul VI) added another nine as West Chester defeated University of the Sciences, 3-0, in it's first match on Friday at the Marauder Clash inside Pucillo Gym.
West Chester (6-0) extended its winning streak to six matches and remained perfect in sets (18-0) with the 25-9, 25-15, 25-13 win over USciences (1-1). For Dischert, the 14 kills marked the second most in a match in her career and was the most she has ever recorded in a 3-set match.
The Golden Rams hit .360 for the match, limiting the Devils to a -.087 percentage.
Victoria Cruciani (Phoenixville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) contributed five kills and five blocks in the win as well.
Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) had 31 assists while Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) posted 13 digs. Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) put up seven kills and six digs.
West Chester takes on Felician at 5 p.m. at the Marauder Clash.
