Baseball Squad Helps Out At Handi-Crafters

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University's national champion baseball team spent the morning of January 15 helping out at Handi-Crafters. The team was split up throughout the facility, working with the staff at Handi-Crafters. Golden Rams bat boy, Tim Hoge, is one of the employees at Handi-Crafters and showed the baseball players around the facility, getting them acclimated with what they would be doing.

Handi-Crafters runs one of the largest employment and disability focused support service programs in Southeast Pennsylvania. Each year, the company helps over 400 individuals to access rewarding employment opportunities in the community and in our Skill Development Center. The company achieves its goals through partnership with great employers and the acquisition of work contracts with businesses, which choose socially responsible outsourcing to meet their production, assembly, kitting and packaging needs. They offer a continuum of support programs, which includes housing solutions and retirement options. In operation since 1961, Handi-Crafters is a trusted resource serving the needs of those who are differently-abled in Chester and surrounding counties.
