Buckhannon, W.V.- The West Chester University women's tennis team was back in action on Saturday afternoon at West Virginia Wesleyan for a non-league matchup. West Chester took the match 6-3.

In doubles play the first doubles pairing of
Rylee Power (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) and
Shannon Nixon (Wyncote, Pa./Cheltenham) worked hard but came out on top 8-5.
Leandra Roelker (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury) and
Elaina Rochford (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) had a similar fate in second doubles as they won 8-6. The third doubles pairing went to West Chester by default giving West Chester a 3-0 lead after singles.

In the first singles matchup Power won relatively easily winning in two sets 6-2, 6-1. Roelker battled hard in the second spot but she ultimately fell 7-5, 6-2 to drop second singles. Nixon also battled in her match but she fell 6-0, 6-4 to make the score 4-2 halfway through singles play. Rochford got the Golden Rams back on track winning the frist set 7-6 in a tie break before taking the second set 6-0.
Julia Mowrey (Bethlehem, Pa./Notre Dame) followed this up with a win of her own the fifth spot winning 6-4, 6-0 before
Sofia Von Der Hyde (Exton, Pa./Great Valley) captured sixth singles by default to give West Chester the 6-3 victory.

West Chester will be back in action tomorrow afternoon against another Mountain East conference foe in the University of Charleston.
