WEST CHESTER, Pa. -
Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) won the floor exercise and was runner-up on the vault to lead West Chester University's women's gymnastics squad to a 188.875-183.225 victory over visiting Ursinus College Sunday afternoon inside Sturzebecker Health Science Center.
West Chester (3-1) claimed the top spot in three of the four events to come out on top of the Bears in the dual meet.
Sarah Boyd (St. Petersburg, Fla.) won the balance beam while
Ashley Duke (Fredericksburg, Va.) won the uneven bars to go along with Meakim's win on the floor.

Meakim won the floor exercise with a score of 9.825. Meanwhile, teammate
Rose Fanara (Fredericksburg, Va.) was right behind her in second place with a 9.7.
Yoli Nodarse (Pompton Plains, N.J.) tied for third with Ursinus' Eleanor LaFountain with a 9.675. The floor was, by far, the Golden Rams' brightest spot of the afternoon.

Meakim scored a 9.375 on the vault to take second place. Teammates
Lindsey Mathis (Waldorf, Md.) and
Kelley Lubking (Henrico, Va.) each tied for third with a 9.325.

Duke scored a 9.575 on the bars to win first place.
Myranda Marshall (Lancaster, Pa.) was second with a 9.475 while
Melanie Wojewoda (Amelia, Ohio) was third with a 9.425.

West Chester swept the top three spots on the beam as well. Boyd captured the event with a 9.675 while Nodarse was second with a 9.65, and
Cassie Hageman (Carlisle, Pa.) was third with a 9.575.
Jordan Miranda (Winchester, Mass.) placed fifth with a 9.5.

West Chester travels to Springfield College next weekend for a dual meet.
