How it happened:

- The Golden Rams fell behind early in the first two sets. Gannon won the first nine points of the match, and the Golden Knights took a 14-3 lead in the second set.
- WCU took a 9-7 lead in the third set as sophomore Julia Vreeswyk (Yardley, Pa. / Pennsbury) recorded a kill on an assist from Emily Ahern (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West). However, Gannon won seven of the next nine points to pull away with the victory.

- Sophomore Grace Whitney (Glenside, Pa. / Abington) had two solo blocks, two block assists and four kills in the match.
- Vreeswyk led the Golden Rams with four kills, and Ahern led with 17 assists.
- Graduate student Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa. / Gettysburg) recorded a team-high 17 assists.
