WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University volleyball lost in three sets at Edinboro University on Saturday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-18, 25-17.

The Golden Rams drop to 13-7 overall and 1-6 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Matches.
How it happened:
- West Chester fell behind 16-6 right out of the gate and couldn't recover in the first set.
- The Golden Rams slipped up in set No. 2. Sophomore Julia Vreeswyk (Yardley, Pa. / Pennsbury) recorded a kill to make it 13-8, but East Stroudsburg responded with six straight points and never trailed again.
- The Golden Rams battled in the third set as a kill by senior Rachel Robb (Blackwood, N.J. / Paul VI) had them trailing 13-12. However, the Fighting Scots maintained the lead throughout the final set.
Inside the numbers:
- Graduate student Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa. / Gettysburg) tied an ESU player with a match-high 12 digs. Whiteman, a libero, has recorded double-digit digs in all 20 West Chester matches this season.
