MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - West Chester University volleyball hit the road for the final time this season and lost a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference contest 3-0 at Millersville University on Tuesday.
The Golden Rams fell to 17-13 overall and 5-12 in PSAC matches this season while the Marauders improved to 23-7 and 13-4.
How it happened:
- Millersville never trailed in the first set and used a 9-2 rally in the middle to take it 25-18.
- The Marauders didn't fall behind in the second or third sets either, winning 25-15 and 25-14.
Inside the numbers:
- Graduate student Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa. / Gettysburg) recorded 20 digs on Tuesday, marking the 10th time this season she's posted at least 20 digs in a match. Whiteman eclipsed 2,000 career digs in West Chester's win over Kutztown on Friday.
- Senior Emily Ahern (Downingtown West / Downingtown, Pa.) led West Chester with 23 assists while contributing with three block assists as well.
- Sophomore Julia Vreeswyk (Yardley, Pa. / Pennsbury) had a team-high seven kills against Millersville. She leads the Golden Rams with 295 kills this season.Â
