WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University women's basketball has completed the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 2-3 record after losing to Lincoln University 75-66 on Tuesday night at Hollinger Field House.

The Golden Rams led the Lions (4-1) 42-33 at halftime. The nine-point advantage was their largest of the game. Nonetheless, Lincoln won the third quarter 22-11 to take a 55-53 lead into the fourth quarter, and West Chester never took the lead again.

Leah Johnson (Columbus, N.J. / Notre Dame) set early career highs in points (20) and minutes (37) on Tuesday, and she didn't commit any turnovers. Johnson also added six assists, three steals and three rebounds to her stat line. She's averaging 14.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.2 steals over West Chester's first five games this season.

Alexis Anderson (Allentown, Pa. / Louis E. Dieruff) and sophomore
Tacari Talford (Robesonia, Pa. / Conrad Weiser) chipped in with 13 points each in 20 and 17 minutes off the bench, respectively.

Gabrielle Troisi (Norristown, Pa. / Pope John Paul II) led the Golden Rams with seven assists and seven rebounds to go along with six points in the loss.

West Chester hopes to snap a two-game losing skid as it travels to Gannon University for its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference contest of the season on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Golden Rams will have a quick turnaround after that when they head to Clarion University for another PSAC game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
