Women's Tennis Falls To Eckerd, 5-2

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – West Chester swept the doubles competition to take the first point of the match, but host Eckerd pulled off wins in five of the six singles to earn a 5-2 victory in a non-league women's tennis match in Florida Sunday afternoon.
 
How It Happened

• Danisa Erriad (Jakarta, Indonesia) and Leandra Roelker (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury) teamed up for a win at second doubles (6-1), and Roelker also carved out the Golden Rams' lone win in singles (6-3, 6-2).
• Shannon Nixon (Wyncote, Pa./Cheltenham) and Julia Mowrey (Bethlehem, Pa./Notre Dame) were (6-0) winners at third doubles to secure the doubles point.
• Rylee Power (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) and Alyssa Skulsky (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South) teamed up for a win at first doubles (6-4).
