PHILADELPHIA - West Chester University placed third at the Quad Meet held inside McGonigle Hall on the campus of Temple University Friday night.
The Golden Rams posted a score of 191.425, outdoing ECAC rival Southern Connecticut State (191.375). Maryland won the Quad Meet with a score of 195.975 while Temple placed second with a 194.85.
Melanie Wojewoda (Amelia, Ohio) tied for second on the uneven bars with a 9.85. Meanwhile,
Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) was the Golden Rams' top finisher on the vault with a 9.625, and
Sarah Boyd (St. Petersburg, Fla.) was tops for the Rams on the balance beam (9.675).
West Chester shined on the floor where Meakim tied for eighth with a score of 9.825 while
Yoli Nodarse (Pompton Plains, N.J.) and
Rose Fanara (Fredericksburg, Va.) each tied for 11th with scores of 9.8.
Meakim registered a 38.250 in the All-Around on Friday night as well.
West Chester will return home to host Cornell next Saturday afternoon inside the Sturzebecker Health Science Center.
