MANSFIELD, Pa. - West Chester University women's basketball comfortably defeated Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division opponent Mansfield University, 66-46, on the road Saturday.

Justyn Roberts (Harrisburg, Pa. / C.D. East) made the most of her 21 minutes off the bench, making 8-of-11 shots to score a game-high 18 points. She also grabbed eight rebounds.

The Golden Rams (5-9 overall, 3-6 PSAC) were trailing the Mountaineers (1-8, 3-12) for much of the first quarter but a good layup by Roberts gave them an 8-7 lead with 1:01 remaining in it. West Chester never fell behind again.

Gabrielle Troisi (Norristown, Pa. / Pope John Paul II) tossed an inbound pass to senior
Katherine Fisher (Rutledge, Pa. / Strath Haven). Fisher fed it to freshman
Leah Johnson (Columbus, N.J. / Notre Dame) who took a step-back three-pointer from about 30 feet out and banked it in at the buzzer.

Johnson chipped in with 10 points and a season-high nine rebounds, which led the team on Saturday. She also picked up a season-high five steals.Â
Sasha Marvel (Medford Lakes, N.J. / Caravel Academy), also a freshman, scored 11 in the win.

The Golden Rams will try to make it three wins in a row as they travel to Lock Haven University on Wednesday for a game against the Bald Eagles (8-6, 5-4) set for 5:30 p.m.
