MEET RESULTS
TOWSON, Md. – Junior
Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) equaled her career-high in the all-around to win that event while tying for second on the floor as West Chester placed third at the Towson Quad meet inside SECU Arena Friday night.
West Chester placed ahead of Ivy League foe Cornell with a score of 191.4 to the Big Red's 186.725. Host Towson won the meet with a 194.725 while William & Mary was second with a 192.15.
Meakim, the all-around champion in the meet, posted a score of 38.9. Her 9.775 on the floor equaled that of Towson's Paige Casper. Casper's teammate, Melissa Temkov, won the event with a 9.8.
Senior
Sarah Boyd (St. Petersburg, Fla.) tied for second on the balance beam with a 9.8 while
Melanie Wojewoda (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed third on the uneven bars with a 9.75.
West Chester will travel to Ursinus next weekend, before heading home for its first meet inside Sturzebecker in the 2020 campaign on Feb. 1.
