WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Seniors Gabrielle Troisi (Norristown, Pa. / Pope John Paul II) and Alexis Anderson (Allentown, Pa. / Louis E. Dieruff) made clutch shots down the stretch to lead West Chester University women's basketball to a 65-62 win over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division rival Shippensburg University on Wednesday at Hollinger Field House.

It was a team effort as all seven West Chester scorers dropped at least seven points. Anderson and sophomore Tacari Talford (Robesonia, Pa. / Conrad Weiser) each scored ten, and Troisi led the way with 12.

The Golden Rams (4-9 overall, 2-6 PSAC) took a 14-3 lead over the Raiders (5-3, 8-6) halfway through the first quarter, the largest lead of the game. The Raiders responded in the second quarter, forcing a 28-28 gridlock going into halftime. West Chester maintained the lead for 15 minutes of the second half but was down late.
