NEW HAVEN, Conn. –
Melanie Wojewoda (Cincinnati, Ohio) tied for first on the uneven bars, equaling the school record, to lead West Chester to a second-place showing at a five-team meet hosted by Southern Connecticut State University Saturday afternoon.

Wojewoda scored a 9.875, tying Meghan Brannon's mark from 2016, and matching that of Hannah Stahlbrodt from Southern Connecticut State and Kathryn Doran of Bridgeport for first place in that event.

Bridgeport took top honors in the meet with a team score of 194.8 while West Chester was second with a 193.125. Both Southern Conn. State and Brown scored a 192.4 to tie for third while Rhode Island College was fifth.

Rose Fanara (Fredericksburg, Va.) was runner-up on the floor exercise with a 9.85, which equaled her score against Cortland earlier this year.
Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) placed third in the all-around with a 37.725.

West Chester will travel to Rutgers University next Friday for a quad meet with the host Scarlet Knights and both Cornell and Southern Connecticut State.
