Meet Results

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Melanie Wojewoda (Cincinnati, Ohio) tied for first on the uneven bars, equaling the school record, to lead West Chester to a second-place showing at a five-team meet hosted by Southern Connecticut State University Saturday afternoon.

Bridgeport took top honors in the meet with a team score of 194.8 while West Chester was second with a 193.125. Both Southern Conn. State and Brown scored a 192.4 to tie for third while Rhode Island College was fifth.

Rose Fanara (Fredericksburg, Va.) was runner-up on the floor exercise with a 9.85, which equaled her score against Cortland earlier this year. Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) placed third in the all-around with a 37.725.

West Chester will travel to Rutgers University next Friday for a quad meet with the host Scarlet Knights and both Cornell and Southern Connecticut State.
