PHILADELPHIA - Junior
Yoli Nodarse (Pompton Plains, N.J.) tied for first on the balance beam and placed third on the uneven bars to lead West Chester to a third-place finish inside Pearson-McMonigle Hall on the campus Temple University Friday night.
West Chester scored an even 192. UPenn won the meet with an even 194 while host Temple was second with a 193.975. Bowling Green placed fourth with a 188.7.
Nodarse's 9.8 on the beam equaled that of Penn's Natalie Yang as the two shared the top spot in that event. Nodarse scored a 9.75 on the bars to place behind a pair of teammates from Temple, who tied for top honors in that event.
Melanie Wojewoda (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored a 9.725 to tie for fourth in that same event.
Freshman
Kiah Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa.) tied for third on the vaul with a 9.725.
West Chester returns to Sturzebecker Health Science Center for its last two remaining regular-season meets. Next Saturday, Cornell University will visit South Campus for a meet beginning at 12 p.m.
