Women's Tennis Drops PSAC Semifinal, 4-3

Box Score WEST CHESTER, PA - West Chester University's women's tennis fell to Millersville University this afternoon in the PSAC semfinals, 4-3.

Despite Millersville (8-4) forfeiting third doubles and sixth singles, the Golden Rams (7-4) could not pull out a victory and advance to the school's first conference championship match since the league went to a team format for the postseason tournament. Millersville won the two doubles matches it did play, and then took first, third and fourth singles to earn a trip to the conference final on Saturday.

The match came down to an excellent battle at first singles between Tori Alexander (Norristown, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Jasmine Morris. The Marauders' top player prevailed, 5-7, 7-5, 7-5 to break the 3-3 tie. Davica Massaro (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) defeated Julie Wallace in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3) to pull West Chester even at 3-apiece and put all the pressure on first singles.
