Baseball Prepares To Host PSAC Quarterfinal Versus Bloomsburg Wednesday; Updated Spectator Policy

ASTON, PA - West Chester University is set to host visiting Bloomsburg University in the quarterfinal round of the 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) postseason tournament Wednesday afternoon at the Maple Zone Sports Complex in Aston, Pa. First pitch for the single-elimination, nine-inning game is set for 12 p.m.

West Chester (20-10) earned the second seed by virtue of its second place finish in the regular-season standings of the PSAC Eastern Division. Bloomsburg (18-14) is the third seed, after finishing third in the regular season.

The athletic department's updated spectator policy lifts any restrictions on the number of spectators attending the contest. However, fans will still need to remain behind the outfield fence.

West Chester begins its quest for the school's ninth conference crown overall and first since 2016 under first-year head coach Mike LaRosa. Bloomsburg won the last PSAC Tournament contested in 2019. Three of the Golden Rams' nine titles have come since 2009.
