WEST CHESTER, PA – West Chester swept the top three spots in all four events en route to a season-high team score of 193.125 during a dual women's gymnastics meet inside Sturzebecker Health Science Center Saturday afternoon.

West Chester scored better than 48.000 in three of the four events.

Graduate student
Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) started things off right with a 9.8 on the vault that earned her a first-place showing. It also equaled her career high, which had been done twice previously.
Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) also hit a new career-best with a 9.725 and
Kiley Fred (Highland Mills, N.Y.) was third with a 9.675. All five scoring routines were above 9.6 for the Golden Rams on the vault.

That rang true for West Chester on the uneven bars as well. Junior
Samantha Kelly (Mullica Hill, N.J.) and sophomore
Hyla Betts (Shannock, R.I.) each led the way tying for first place with an identical 9.7 score. For Betts, her score was a new career high. Freshman
Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.) placed third with a 9.65. Meakim and freshman
Kristina Rodriguez (Cincinnati, Ohio) tied for fourth with a 9.6 each.

McFarland won the balance beam with another career-best effort of 9.8. Freshman
Natalie Marshall (Bolton, Mass.) was second with a 9.7 while Meakim placed third with a 9.675.

McFarland, who was also runner-up to Meakim on the floor exercise, turned in her third career high with a 9.75. Meakim was first with a 9.775. Senior
McKenna Kissinger (Chambersburg, Pa.) tied McFarland for second with a 9.75 as well.

Meakim scored a 38.85 in the all-around.

West Chester hosts a quad meet next Saturday at Sturzebecker when Brown University, University of Bridgeport and SUNY-Cortland come calling to South Campus at 1 p.m.
