HOW THEY GOT HERE …
West Chester earned the fifth seed in the tournament by virtue of a 6-3 conference record. The Golden Rams dropped league contests to Shippensburg, Millersville and East Stroudsburg in the regular season with each game decided by a goal in the final minute.

West Chester spent the first six weeks of the season ranked No. 1 in the country in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II National Coaches Poll. The Golden Rams started out the year 8-0, before losing three of their next five and dropping to No. 4 in the rankings and finishing in fifth place in the extremely competitive PSAC. Head coach Amy Cohen's charges have rebounded to bring a four-game winning streak into the postseason.

East Stroudsburg earned the fourth seed with its 7-2 conference mark. The Warriors tied for second place in the league standings with both Shippensburg and Millersville. However, they lost the tie-breaker by virtue of having the fewest road wins in league play between the three tied teams. ESU was ranked No. 1 in the country during Week 8 of the season. The Warriors won their final two games of the regular season and have won eight of their last nine matches.

HISTORY BETWEEN THESE TWO …
West Chester leads the overall series against East Stroudsburg by a significant 40-10-6 margin and shows a 4-1 overall mark against the Warriors in the PSAC Tournament. West Chester and East Stroudsburg will meet for the sixth time in the PSAC Tournament over the last 10 years. West Chester is 5-4 against ESU at Whitenight Field since the Golden Rams reclassified to Division II in 2011. The two conference rivals have been playing each other since 1949. East Stroudsburg claimed a 3-2 victory earlier in the year at home with the game-winning tally coming with :17 left in the tilt.

West Chester has won four PSAC Championships (2012, 2014, 2017, 2018). East Stroudsburg has won two PSAC Championships (2015, 2019). The Golden Rams are 14-6 all-time in the PSAC Tournament while the Warriors are 12-20.
