WEST CHESTER, PA – Following a one-week hiatus, West Chester University's field hockey squad was back at it again on the turf at Vonnie Gros in preparation for its upcoming NCAA Tournament first round contest against Adelphi University on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Golden Rams received a new lease on the 2022 campaign when the NCAA Atlantic Region Selection Committee assigned them the third seed in the region and one more home contest for the senior class.

Tickets to Sunday's NCAA postseason field hockey contest are $10 for adults, $5 for students/senior citizens and $1 for children under the age of five. Tickets will be available at the tent beginning at 12 p.m. on the day of the contest. An NCAA merchandise trailer will also be on hand selling memorabilia. No comps, or passes will be honored.

"We are really excited," West Chester head coach Amy Cohen commented on Tuesday, after reassembling the troops following a week of inactivity. Sometimes, I think you need a little time away. This is kind of like a rebirth in a sense. The team is so amped to have a game on Sunday at home."

West Chester (14-4) takes on an Adelphi (13-8) squad that is coming off its first Northeast-10 Championship in school history last Sunday. It is a rematch of last season's first round contest with this year's winner advancing to the NCAA Division II Festival in Seattle, Wash., and a date with Shippensburg in the national semifinals.
