MEET RESULTS
PHILADELPHIA - West Chester swept the top four spots on the floor exercise to overcome Southern Connecticut State University, 192.95-191.7 at the Pink Invitational inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center Friday night.
Grad student
Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) won the floor with a score of 9.875 while
McKenna Kissinger (Chambersburg, Pa.) and
Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va) tied for second with a 9.8 each.
Kiley Fred (Highland Mills, N.Y.) scored a 9.75 to place fourth overall.
"We had a good meet and got another win over a GEC team," WCU head coach Barb Cordova said. "We love competing at the Pink Invitational Meet and supporting Unite For HER."Â
Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) won the balance beam with a 9.825 recording the Golden Rams other event first-place showing.
Meakim added a second-place ribbon on both the uneven bars and the vault. She tied teammate
Hyla Betts (Shannock, R.I.) for second on the bars with each receiving a 9.65.
West Chester travels to William & Mary next Friday for its next meet.
