WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Big night on the vault helps West Chester score a 192.925-186.375 victory over Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) foe William & Mary Friday night inside Kaplan Arena.

West Chester (12-2) remained perfect against conference opponents in head-to-head competition with the win. It marked the third triumph over William & Mary, following a win over the Tribe at Towson in January and another at home two weeks ago.

The Golden Rams turned in an outstanding performance on the vault, with a season-best 48.525, while four of the six gymnasts either hit or tied a personal best. Though the Tribe's Emma Wiley won the event with a 9.8.
Kiley Fred (Highland Mills, N.Y.) put up a 9.775 while
McKenna Kissinger (Chambersburg, Pa.) posted a 9.7 to establish new career highs. Meanwhile,
Caitlyn Allen (Forest Hill, Md.) scored a 9.675 and
Annie Bailey (Chelmsford, Mass.) scored a 9.6 for their career marks.

West Chester grabbed the top four spots on the balance beam with
Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) winning the event with her 9.8.
Madison Whitaker (Lancaster, Pa.) was outstanding in putting up a 9.775 to finish right behind McFarland.
Natalie Marshall (Bolton, Mass.) was third with a 9.725 while
Hyla Betts (Shannock, R.I.) was fourth with a 9.65.

Jessica Meakim (Downingtown, Pa.) and Kissinger once again anchored the floor with a 9.8 and a 9.775, respectively for the Golden Rams.
Brashlyn Johnson (Aynor, S.C.) scored a 9.65 while
Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va.) and
Rose Fanara (Fredericksburg, Va.) each posted a 9.625.

On the bars,
Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.) won the event with a 9.7.
Samantha Kelly (Mullica Hill, N.J.) tied for third with a 9.575.

Meakim was the lone all-around performer for the Golden Rams. She posted a score of 38.05 in the meet.

West Chester has a quick turnaround with another road meet at Ursinus College on Sunday.
