Keith Flaherty Named PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its baseball Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon and Keith Flaherty (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) was named Eastern Division Athlete of the Week after some stellar performances last week.

Flaherty had a big weekend for West Chester, going 8-for-11 (.727) with four doubles, two home runs, eight RBI, and four runs scored along with a 1.636 slugging percentage and a .769 on-base percentage on the weekend. On Saturday vs Pace, Flaherty was 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, two RBI, one run scored, and one walk to help West Chester to a win over the Setters. On Sunday vs Sciences, Flaherty was impressive once again, going 5-for-5 at the plate in game two of the doubleheader with two doubles, two home runs, six RBI, and three runs scored to help West Chester to a dominant 16-0 victory over Sciences.

West Chester travels to Cary, N.C., this weekend for the DII Baseball Challenge. They will play Franklin Pierce twice, The College of Saint Rose again and Frostburg State over the three days at the U.S. Baseball Training Complex.
