CLEVELAND, Ohio
– West Chester University finished 34th in the 2022 LEARFIELD/NACDA Director's Cup final standings released earlier this week. The Golden Rams were the highest institution from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in the standings.

West Chester amassed 419.5 points during the 2021-22 athletic season with 192 points coming in the fall, 73.5 in the winter and 154 in the spring. Grand Valley State (1,013) won its 14th LEARFIELD Director's Cup with West Texas A&M (862.25) runner-up.

In the spring, the Golden Rams' baseball team accumulated 83 points with its third-place finish in the NCAA Tournament while the women's lacrosse team put up 60 points for a fifth-place finish. Men's golf finished 23rd for a total of 49 points.

Gannon was the next highest PSAC school in the final standings coming in at No. 39. Mercyhurst at 49 was the only other PSAC institution ranked in the Top 50. The next highest state school in the PSAC was Indiana (Pa.) at 73.

Overall, 15 sports are counted in the final DII standings, four of which must be women's volleyball and basketball and men's basketball and baseball. The next highest (11 max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.

The LEARFIELD Director's Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA TODAY. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
