COLLEGEVILLE, PA –  Annika Hammel (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg Area) won the pole vault as West Chester University's men's indoor track & field squad competed at the Bow Tie Invitational inside the Floy Lewis Baker Center on the campus of Ursinus College Friday evening.Â

Lily Palacio-Lewis (Lititz, Pa./Warwick), who hit a personal best last Friday Night in the Invitational portion of the 60-meter dash prelims at Ocean Breeze clocking a time of 7.83 seconds that was also good for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifier and the second fastest time at WCU, ended the same event on Friday afternoon clocking a finishing time of 7.90 in prelims and 7.82 in the finals placing her in second place. She also placed seventh in the 200m dash clocking a finish time of 26.83Â

In the 60m hurdles, Kamryn Fontaine (DuBois, Pa./DuBois Area) places sixth with a time of 10.26 – her personal best as a Golden Ram so far.Â

In the 800m dash, Ellie Goldberg (West Deptford, N.J.) placed ninth clocking a finishing time of 2:34.92. Goldberg also placed third in the mile, clocking a finish time of 5:31.68 – her personal best as a Golden Ram. Trailing behind Goldberg in the mile was Kristina Tapia (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley), in third with a finishing time of 5:39.03 – her personal best. Jenny Weiss (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) was ninth.

In the 5000m run, Abigail Marion (S. Abington Twp./Abington Heights) finished second with a time of 19:43.32, and Josey George (Oxford, Pa./Walnut Grove) finished third with a time of 19:44.16. In the 4x400m relay, West Chester placed seventh with a time of 4:49.72 led by George, Tapia, Goldberg and Joli Golembiewski (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby).

In the high jump, Jade Salmon (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) placed first clearing 5 feet, 1 inch which marked the 49th-best height in NCAA Division II also finishing as a PSAC qualifier.

Katie Pieslak (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) placed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 16-10. Behind Pieslak was Ozioma Ottih who placed in 12th with a leap of 16-04.

In the pole vault, two Golden Rams took top two places, Hammel in first clearing 11-5 ¾. That also was a PSAC qualifier. Kaylie Groff (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) in second clearing 10-6. Both of these placements, ranked 28h and 56th in NCAA Division II. Following Hammel and Groff was Emily Donogen (Hershey, Pa./Hershey), Emma Bronowicz (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy), and Haley Sambora (Exton, Pa./Great Valley) placing fifth and sixth – Donogen and Bronowicz tied for fifth, and Sambora was sixth,Â

Emma Deyarim (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) was third in shot put, putting it 38-0 ¼. Behind Deyarim was Kayla Lockburner (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) in eighth.Â
