ITHACA, NY – West Chester University posted its second highest overall score in school history en route to a 194.65-193.575 victory over host Cornell University in a Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) dual meet Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Rams put up their fourth-best scores ever in both the uneven bars and balance beam to propel the squad to the win.

Freshman
Sarah Eskew (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and
Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.) each tied for first place on the bars with scores of 9.775. For Eskew, it marked the second straight week she scored a 9.775 on the bars and equaled her career high. In fact, the Golden Rams took the top five spots on bars with
Kristina Rodriguez (Cincinnati, Ohio) third,
Hyla Betts (Shannock, R.I.) fourth and
Samantha Kelly (Mullica Hill, N.J.) fifth.

McKenna Kissinger (Chambersburg, Pa.) won the balance beam with a career-high 9.825, and freshman
Anna Lacey (Bethlehem, Pa.) was second with a 9.8.
Caitlyn Allen (Forest Hills, Md.) and
Madison Whitaker tied for fifth with a 9.775 each. For Whitaker, it equaled her career best.

Kissinger added a runner-up performance on the floor, along with Lacey. Both scored a 9.8 with Lacey's mark serving as a new career high. The two tied with four others for second place on the floor.

Eskew just missed her career high on the vault with a 9.725. She tied with
Kiah Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa.) for fifth to pace the Golden Rams in that event.

Rodriguez posted a 38.275 in the all-around and placed second.

West Chester will head to the University of Bridgeport next weekend for a quad meet with the hosts, SUNY-Brockport and Rhode Island College.
