West Chester Places Fourth at Boise State Quad Meet

MEET RESULTS

BOISE, ID
– In its first trip to Idaho in school history, West Chester University's women's gymnastics placed fourth in a quad meet at Boise State University with a trio of highly ranked opponents in Air Force, Boise State and San Jose State.

West Chester scored a 191.825 in its second time out for the 2024 campaign. Host Boise State won the quad meet with a team score of 195.800. San Jose State was runner up with a 195.625 while Air Force was third with a 194.975.

Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va.) tied the school record on beam with a 9.875 that also tied her for second place individually. Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) finished the beam rotation with a 9.85. Sarah Eskew (Pittsburgh, Pa.) posted a career-best 9.675 on the balance beam. That was just a bit higher than what she did at Maryland last Friday. The beam was definitely where West Chester shined Friday night. Pressed into service on the beam, Karah Vargo (Ft. Myers, Fla.) posted a season-high 9.725.

Bridget Sullivan (Watertown, Mass.) tied her career high with a 9.525 on the vault during the second rotation to lead off that event for the Golden Rams. That equaled her performance a week ago at Maryland. Corinne Gruber (Barto, Pa.) also matched her score from last weekend with a 9.55 on vault. Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.), in just her second week vaulting, upped her career best to a 9.525.

Melina Ringas (Glen Allen, Va.) scored a 9.475 on the uneven bars in her first college meet. Coleman anchored the bars routine with a 9.775.

West Chester returns home next weekend when SUNY Cortland, Ithaca and SUNY Brockport visit the Sturzebecker Health Science Center for the Golden Rams' home opener of 2024 at 1 p.m.
