GOLDEN RAMS RETURN HOME FOR NON-LEAGUE TILT VS LIMESTONE
• West Chester (8-5) returns home for its final non-league matchup against Limestone, out of the South Atlantic Conference.
• West Chester is coming off a tough double-overtime loss at IUP on Saturday night. This afternoon marks the Golden Rams' third game in five days, and they still have another game to play on Wednesday, as they go through a stretch of five games in nine days.
•
Jasmine Miller put the Golden Rams on top early out west against IUP. But, the Crimson Hawks quickly tied up the game, and then the two squads played scoreless field hockey until late in the second OT.
• Limestone (8-4) are coming off an overtime loss as well its last time out. The Saints lost 1-0 at Millersville on Saturday. This afternoon concludes their run through Pennsylvania. Â
PLAYOFF PICTURE TAKES A HIT
• With five games left in the regular season, the Golden Rams are running out of time to make their move in the league standings and climb into a playoff spot for the postseason conference tournament. Saturday's loss to IUP was a blow to West Chester's hopes for a playoff bid. However, the Golden Rams still have four conference games remaining and every opportunity that comes with that to make the playoffs. The problem is that two of those four conference opponents are two of the best teams in the PSAC and in the country.
• West Chester is currently in seventh place in the league standings and would be on the outside looking in if the season were to end today. But, they are only half-a-game out of fifth place and one game out of fourth. So, a move up the standings is certainly a possibility.
• Everything is still very much in front of them as they come down the final stretch of the schedule. West Chester is 4-4 in one-goal games and has played two of the top teams in the standings to a one-goal outcome. The Golden Rams were just on the wrong side of those two outcomes.

As they go, so goes the Limestone offense.
• Limestone took eight shots and had 10 penalty corner opportunities, but could not score against Millersville on Saturday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Saints.
