STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The West Chester University women's track and field squad returned to action on Friday night at Ocean Breeze for the Garden State Collegiate Open in one of the Golden Rams final meets of the 2023-24 Indoor season.
In the Women's 60 Meter Hurdles,
Jade Williams (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) saved her best performance for what is likely her final indoor meet of the season as she placed third with a time of 9.94 seconds, which served as a new personal best for the sophomore.
Kamryn Fontaine (DuBois, Pa./DuBois Area) placed fourth with a time of 10.08 seconds also good for a new personal best.
In the Women's Mile Run,
Anna Quackenbush (Oakton, Va./Oakton) led the way for the Golden Rams,
placing 10th with a time of 5 minutes and 45.33 seconds. She narrowly missed out on surpassing her personal best by less than a tenth of a second. Right behind her was
Jenny Weiss (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) with a time of 5:48.78.
Grace O'Brien (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) placed 17
th with a time of 6:21.87 seconds, which also served as a new PR for the rookie.
