PHILADELPHIA - The West Chester women's track & field squad returned to action on Friday evening at the 128th running of the Penn Relays inside Historic Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.
The women's 4x100 team of Gabrielle Curtis (Harrisburg, Pa./C.D. East), Katja Larsen (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown), and Lily Palacio-Lewis (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) placed second overall in the Eastern section of prelims with a time of 48.34 seconds, which marks the fastest time of the season.
The women's 4x400 team, consisting of the same foursome, ran a time of 4:07.73 for 13th place.
The 4x100 will be back in action tomorrow in the Eastern finals section at 4:45 P.M for the third and final day of Penn Relays
