Last Time Out

West Chester will need to have a short memory and move on quickly from the disappointments of last weekend as the team dropped a pair of road matches vs Dominican and Chestnut Hill as the Golden Rams looked to climb back above .500 after starting the week with a win over Goldey-Beacom. West Chester dropped a five-set thriller to Dominican on Friday night before faltering at Chestnut Hill on Saturday, falling to the Griffins in straight sets. Abiah Lane (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) led West Chester in kills on Saturday, finishing with nine. Megan St. Jean (Eaton, Co./Eaton) led the Golden Rams in assists (15) while also adding eight digs, which was second only to Sydney Heffner (Bath, Pa./Northampton), who led the team in digs and aces, with nine and two, respectively.

Road Warriors

West Chester continues its month away from home this week with a weekend in North Jersey to take on Caldwell on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. before playing in a tri-match vs Felician and STAC on Sunday afternoon.

Stop The Skid

West Cheser will look to halt its two-match losing streak this weekend and ignite a winning streak heading into its PSAC East opener at Millersville next Wednesday night.

Series History

West Chester leads the all-time series vs Caldwell (5-1) and Felician (6-0). West Chester will face STAC on Sunday afternoon for what is believed to be the first meeting between the two sides.

Scouting Caldwell

West Chester will begin its latest weekend on the road on Saturday vs a winless Caldwell side, seeking to exact revenge for a disappointing loss to the Cougars at home a year ago. Caldwell enters the weekend with a record of 0-5 on the year, having won just two sets through those five matches this season.

Wyette Schubert Brown leads the way in kills with 41, while also leading the team in digs with 40 and ranking fourth in blocks (3.0) and aces (6). Jordan Mack has controlled the offense for much of the season, posting a team-best 49 assists through five matches.

Scouting Felician

Felician, who will open its weekend with a matchup against Mercy on Friday night, enters the weekend with a record of 2-7, looking to halt a six-game losing streak of its own. Felician went 2-2 in its opening weekend with a 3-1 win over Kutztown and a 3-0 win over Lincoln before dropping each of its next six, including losses to Queens, Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Fairbanks, UNC-Pembroke, Slippery Rock, and Post.

Megan Barker leads Felician in kills with 63, while Karla Maldonado is a close second with 61 of her own. Sophia Watterson leads the team in assists with 119, while also leading the team in aces with 13. Aly Reeser leads the team in digs with 142, while Maldonado has chipped in 99 of her own so far this season.

Scouting STAC

Entering what is believed to be its first ever meeting against West Chester, STAC heads into the weekend with a record of 4-4 on the year after going 2-2 last weekend with wins over Assumption and Caldwell (3-0) and losses to Pitt-Johnstown and East Stroudsburg.  Evie Paalman leads the team in both kills (102) and digs (81), while Anna Gazzerro leads the team in assists (128) and aces (19).
