SHREVEPORT, La.- Competing in its second meet in four days, the West Chester University women's gymnastics team (1-6) placed second out of teams with a score of 189.725. Perennial power Southeast Missouri State (SEMO) placed first with a team score of 192.325, while host Centenary recorded a 185.325 in its second meet of the 2025 season.
West Chester started off its second meet in four days on the floor once again and was led by a pair of personal season-best 9.750 scores from
Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) and
Catherine Keener (Holly Springs, N.C.) as the duo finished in a tie for second.
EmmaGrace Kelly (Bradenton, Fl.) continued to impress in her rookie campaign with a 9.675 on the floor to tie for fifth and help start things off quickly for the road-warrior Golden Rams.
West Chester registered a 47.550 on the vault, led by a 9.625 from
Rylee Harada (Runnemede, N.J.) and a 9.550 from
Corinne Gruber (Barto, Pa.). Madalyn Espinosa (Phoenix, Az.) also made her Golden Ram debut on vault with a 9.375. Harada's 9.625 served as a new season-high was good enough to place the rookie fourth, while Gruber was close behind in sixth.
On the uneven bars, West Chester registered a team score of 46.550, led by an event victory from
Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.) with a season-best score of 9.750 and a 9.575 from
Melina Ringas (Glen Allen, Va.). Ringas joined Coleman in the top-five as her 9.575 was good enough to place fourth.
Macarthy Keane (Trumbull, Ct.) also registered a new season-best score on bars with a 9.425.
Tatum McGuinn (Glen Mills, Pa.) made her Golden Ram debut lineup debut on bars on Monday afternoon, registering an 8.650 in her first collegiate action.
West Chester recorded its top event score of the day in its final rotation of the afternoon, finishing on the beam with a 47.875, led by a season-best 9.725 from McFarland and a season-best 9.650 from
Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va.). Fellow veteran
Natalie Marshall (Bolton, Ma.) also registered a 9.550 in this event. McFarland's 9.725 was fifth best in the field, while Cascadden placed eighth individually. McGuinn, who had made her Golden Ram lineup debut earlier in the night, competed as an exhibition in this event and placed fourth individually with an outstanding performance that saw record a score of 9.750.
Karah Vargo (Fort Myers, Fl.) also recorded a new season-high on bars with a 9.425.
