Fry and Mosley Earn Collegiate Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Collegiate Sports Communicators released its Division II football Academic All-District squad on Tuesday afternoon. West Chester had two players honored in 2024 as Jack Fry (Norristown, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) and Shane Mosley (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) were recognized by the Association.

To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must possess at least a 3.50 GPA and have played in 90 % of the institution's games played.

With this honor, Mosley and Fry advance to the CSC Academic All-America ® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America ® honorees will be announced January 28, 2025.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.

This is the second Academic Honor of the Year for Mosley, who was also named PhillySIDA Academic All-Area.

Fry enjoyed an excellent sophomore season as the starting nose tackle on the Golden Ram defensive line, finishing the year fourth in tackles with 60 (24 solo; 36 assisted), including 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Mosley was another First Team All-League honoree, and the veteran defensive back was the team captain and the glue that kept the defense together. From his safety position, he finished second on the team in tackles with 79, including 4.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions, and nine passes defensed. He also returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown against Lock Haven. He made 34 solo stops and even blocked a kick. The grad student ranked 11th overall in the PSAC in tackles.
