ABOUT THE GOLDEN RAMSÂ
West Chester (3-3, 1-2 PSAC East) is currently tied for fifth place in the league standings with Lock Haven (2-4, 1-2).
Â
West Chester is coming off a disappointing loss on the road at Shepherd last Saturday. Shepherd scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter to take a 28-24 advantage, and the Golden Rams could not answer back.
Â
West Chester's passing defense continues to lead the conference in interceptions (10) and is second overall in the PSAC.
Jamir Reyes ranks second in the league with three interceptions while
Kaleb Brown is tied for third with two picks.
A PEAK AT THE RECORD BOOKSÂ
Senior RB,
Khalil Owens, is closing in on two milestones. He has 2,915 career all-purpose yards and 1,828 career rushing yards while playing for Seton Hill, Clarion and now West Chester.
Â
Senior MLB,
Connor Noble, is also moving up the school's chart in career solo tackles and assisted tackles. Noble has 279 total tackles in three years and cracked the Top 10 in school history, passing former Golden Rams MLB, Mike Dell. Noble also moved into third place on the school's all-time chart for assisted tackles with 180. He passed former WCU Hall of Fame linebacker Lateef Ferguson, who had 170.
Â
Meanwhile, senior QB,
Cooper Jordan, is currently 15th on the school's all-time rushing chart with 2,337 career rushing yards. He also stands eighth all-time in passing yards with 5,252 passing yards to his credit. His 40 career TD passes ranks 10th all-time and is one behind ninth place Paul Dooley.
Â
Red-shirt Sophomore quarterback
Colin O'Sullivan (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) made his college debut last week when he came in for injured QB
Ethan Kohler. The Rutgers transfer was impressive nearly steering West Chester to a victory over Shepherd on the road. He was 13 of 25 for 106 yards one TD and one INT in his debut.
Â
Head coach
Duke Greco will go for his 99th career coaching victory on Saturday in Lock Haven. He racked up 91 of those victories over a 10-year span at Delaware Valley and has the other seven in the year and a half here at West Chester.
Â
ABOUT LOCK HAVEN
Lock Haven dropped a league contest to No. 4 Kutztown last Saturday. The Bald Eagles are hoping to get back on track during Homecoming Weekend. Quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky leads the Eagles offensively. He ranks 10th in the league in passing, but is also a threat to run the ball.
Â
The Bald Eagles are coming off a nearly perfect performance two weeks ago in a lopsided 38-17 victory over Bloomsburg. The Bald Eagles have now defeated Bloomsburg in three consecutive seasons. Ostrowsky returned to the lineup and produced excellent numbers, completing 21 of 28 passes for 303 yards, without an interception, and threw three touchdowns. The Bald Eagle offense racked up 402 yards of total offense, with wide receiver Justin Popovich catching two of Ostrowsky's passes and Jaiden Huntington  finishing the game with six catches for 106 yards and a touchdown.
