BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The West Chester University women's cross country squad is preparing to return to action on Friday afternoon on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course for the 51
st edition of the Paul Short Run. The committee released race assignments on Monday evening, and West Chester was tabbed to the Green Division race once again in 2025, which is set to begin at 4:15. In the Green Division, West Chester will compete alongside a host of Division II programs and some of the top Division III squads in the final of eight college races on Friday afternoon.

Friday afternoon's race will be the first race since mid-September for much of the Golden Ram roster. Four Golden Rams competed at the Main Line Invitational at Haverford College on September 19, with
Jessalyn Welsh (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) leading the charge with a 42
nd-place finish in a time of 19 minutes and 47.3 seconds to traverse the 5K course.
Ellie Goldberg joined Welsh in the top-50 in 19:52.7 to finish 45
th, while
Taylor Atkinson was 51
st in 20:15.0 and
Grace O'Brien was 65
th in 21:07.9.
Return to Lehigh
West Chester heads to Lehigh for the second year in a row after also competing in the Green Division race a year ago.
Kristina Tapia (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) led West Chester with a 12
th-place finish in 23:18.8o seconds as the first of two Golden Rams in the top-25 and one of four in the top-50 to help lead West Chester to a fourth-place team finish at the 50
th Annual Paul Short Invitational on Saturday.
