LOCK HAVEN, PA – West Chester University freshman swimmer,
Bartosz Brzozowski (Warsaw, Poland), was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week it was announced by that organization Tuesday afternoon.
Brzozowski is the second West Chester men's swimmer to be recognized by the conference this winter. Senior
Paul Demesy was the loop's athlete of the week in the first week of the season.
Brzozowski won the 100-yard backstroke in setting a new school record and finished third in the 200 back while hitting an NCAA B-Cut time in the 100 back. He also swam the backstroke in both the 200 and 400 medley relays helping them to a fourth-place and third-place showing, respectively. His time of 48.25 seconds in the 100 back is a new West Chester University record. His time of 1 minute, 49.88 seconds in the 200 back is also the fourth-best time in school history.
The men's swim team is off until January when the Golden Rams begin the second half of its schedule.
