Men's Track and Field Set for Wagner Seahawk Shootout on Friday Afternoon at Ocean Breeze

WEST CHESTER, Pa.-
After a busy three-meet weekend to open the 2025-26 campaign last weekend, the West Chester University men's track and field squad will be back in action on Friday evening at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout at Ocean Breeze on Staten Island for its final meet of 2025.

West Chester makes its first of two scheduled trips to Ocean Breeze on Friday as the Golden Rams wrap up 2025 with their last meet until a January 17 trip to Alvernia. The Golden Rams will return to Ocean Breeze in February for the Fast Track Invitational on February 6.

Last weekend, West Chester kicked off its 2024-25 slate with split squad action as the Golden Rams sent a contingent to compete in the 5K at the historic New York City Armory as a part of the Armory Distance Carnival, while also sending a large group to Bucknell for the Bison Opener and the duo of Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) and Matt Remishofski (Wall, N.J./Wall) to Boston for the Sharon Colyear Danville Season Opener.

At Bucknell, Chase Hildebrand (Chalfont, Pa./C.B. South) put together an impressive all-around performance in the heptathlon, finishing inside the top 12 in every event inside Gerhard Fieldhouse. Hildebrand placed second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.14 seconds, and added three fourth-place finishes in the shot put, 60m hurdles, and pole vault. He wrapped up the competition with a strong overall score of 3,796.

 Andre Jackson-Littlejohn (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) led the way for West Chester in the 60m dash, qualifying for finals with a time of 6.92 seconds, placing him fifth overall. He also finished fifth in the 60m finals with a time of 6.96.

 AC Ross (Springfield, Va./West Springfield), Damian Simpson (Easton, Pa./Wilson), and Nick Tran (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) also performed well, all finishing inside the top 12 with times of 6.98, 7.03 and 7.07 seconds, respectively.

 David Burnshaw (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) tied for sixth in the 200m with a time of 22.77 seconds. Simpson finished ninth overall with a time of 22.92 seconds. Burnshaw placed second in the 400m with a time of 50.50 seconds.

 Terry Dweh (Darby, Pa./Penn Wood) also competed in the event, helping West Chester place multiple athletes in the top five. Jhaven Sims (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) placed second in the 500m with a time of 1:10.30, while Kevin Wickizer (Roaring Brook Twp., Pa./North Pocono) and Gabe Franek (Dunmoore, Pa./Dunmoore) also finished in the top five, posting times of 1:11.11 and 1:11.30.

 Jake Jones (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) competed in the men's pole vault, helping West Chester place an athlete in the top six of the event.

At the Armory, Nick Forman (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy), and Aaron Marcus (Easton, Pa./Easton) led the Golden Rams with top-five finishes in fourth and fifth in times of 15:47.63 and 15:49.49, respectively.

In Boston, Remishofski finished 29th in the 1500 in 3:52.63 as one of two Golden Rams competing alongside a Division I field in Beantown. Miller was the other Golden Ram competing in Boston, finishing the final event of the evening, the 5K, in 14:27.54.
