Women's Gymnastics Competes at William & Mary in GEC Clash

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.- EmmaGrace Kelly (Bradenton, Fl.)
captured the beam competition with a career-high matching 9.800 to help lead the West Chester University women's gymnastics team (6-8, 1-3) at Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) foe William & Mary on Sunday afternoon. West Chester fell to its hosts in the GEC dual meet by a 193.325-189.950 final.

West Chester started its evening on bars with a 46.350, led by a pair of top-five finishes from Melina Ringas (Glen Allen, Va.) and Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.) who took third and fourth with scores of 9.625 and 9.600, respectively.

Tatum McGuinn (Glen Mills, Pa.) also scored a new season and career-high on the bars with a 9.375.

In its second rotation of the day, the vault, West Chester scored a 47.775 led by a sixth-place finish from Bridget Sullivan (Watertown, Ma.) who posted a career-best 9.625. Rylee Harada (Runnemede, N.J.) was seventh with a 9.600.

Coleman also recorded a new season-high with a 9.475.

On the floor, Cat Keener (Holly Springs, N.C.) led the way with a career-high matching 9.750, which was good enough to finish in a tie for second, while Sullivan finished in a tie for fifth with a season-best 9.675, which helped West Chester record a team score of 47.575.

West Chester turned in its top event score of the day on the beam in its final rotation when EmmaGrace Kelly (Bradenton, Fl.) scored a career-high matching 9.800 to take first, while McGuinn finished in a tie for second with a career-best score of  9.775. Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va.) finished in a tie for sixth with a 9.700.
