WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University women's gymnastics team (6-7) was back in action on Saturday afternoon at home against Ursinus in its second home meet in as many weeks. West Chester impressed throughout the afternoon and earned its second home victory in as many weeks, posting a 190.775-189.00 triumph over Ursinus on Saturday afternoon.
Rylee Harada (Runnemede, N.J.) led West Chester on vault with a 9.575 to finish third, while
Corinne Gruber (Barto, Pa.) and
Bridget Sullivan (Watertown, Ma) took fourth and fifth with scores of 9.475 and 9.450, respectively.
On bars,
Jordan Coleman (Bowie, Md.) registered a victory for yet another week with a 9.725, while Harada took fourth with a 9.600, which served as a new career-high.
Karah Vargo also hit a new career-high with a score of 9.350 to finish sixth, while
Melina Ringas (Glen Allen, Va.) was seventh with a score of 9.275.
On beam,
Natalie Marshall (Bolton, Ma) took second with a season-high score of 9.800, while
Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va.) was second with a 9.700.
EmmaGrace Kelly (Bradenton, Fl.), Tatum McGuinn (Glen Mills, Pa.), and Macarthy Keane (Trumbull, Ct.) finished in a tie for fifth with 9.650, which for McGuinn and Keane served as a new career-high for both.
Cat Keener (Holly Springs, N.C.) and
Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) finished in a tie for first on the floor with 9.825's, which served as a new career-high for Keener, while Kelly took third with a 9.800, which was just .025 off her career-high.
Lydia Stoner (Palmyra, Pa.) scored a 9.675 on the floor to take fifth, while Cascadden was sixth with a 9.625 of her own.
