LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its latest baseball weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and
Nick Noga (Avondale, Pa./Avon Grove) became the third Golden Ram pitcher in the last three weeks to earn PSAC East Pitcher of the Week honors after a great outing on Friday vs Queens (N.Y.).
Noga tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout on Friday to help West Chester in its four-game sweep of Queens (N.Y.) over the weekend. Noga struck out six and, after allowing a hit in the second inning, carried a one-hit shutout until there were two outs in the seventh. Queens got its second and final hit of the day when the Knights were down to their last out before working a walk for the lone multi-base runner inning vs Noga in his dominant complete-game on Friday. Perhaps even more impressively, the junior used just 77 pitches as he faced just two batters over the minimum for his first victory of the young season.
West Chester will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon vs Molloy beginning at 3 p.m.
