WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) released its final weekly awards of the 2025 regular season on Wednesday afternoon. West Chester earned a pair of honors as
Lily McFarland (Baltimore, Md.) was named Gymnast of the Week, while
Caroline Cascadden (Ashburn, Va.) copped Co-Specialist of the Week honors along with Emily Ford of Brown.
McFarland capped off her regular-season collegiate career with a stellar performance against Cornell on Friday, including a career-high 9.9 on the floor, which led to her finishing first in this event. She also contributed to the Golden Rams season-high team score on floor of 49.175. McFarland also won the beam with a 9.8 and scored a 9.525 on vault to finish seventh in this event.
Cascadden capped off her final regular-season meet with a tremendous performance, which saw her score a 9.7 on beam to finish in a tie for fourth while also scoring a season-best 9.875 on the floor tie for second. Cascadden's second-place finish on the floor helped West Chester achieve a season-high team score in this event with a 49.175.
West Chester is currently continuing its preparations for the Gymnastics East Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia as the University of Pennsylvania hosts the eight-team meet.
