West Chester returned north and opened its spring home slate with a 7-0 win over Bryn Mawr on Thursday evening. The duos of Delaney Tingle and Alexandra Cave and Felicia Manful and Gabriella Lerario Dos Santos won their doubles matches by 6-3, 6-2 finals to give WCU an early 1-0 lead. The Golden Rams swept singles play in dominant fashion, winning all six matches in straight sets.
Opening Up
Perennially among the top teams in the PSAC East, West Chester will open East play against arguably its top competitor for the East each year in Millersville on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m.
We Are Honored
Tingle was named PSAC East Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week after going 3-0 in first singles and 2-1 in first doubles play a week ago.

Scouting Millersville
Millersville (4-5) fell to 4-5 on the year with a 6-1 loss at home to Wilmington on Wednesday afternoon as the Marauders fell to 3-3 on the Spring season. Against Wilmington, Lauren Hayes won the lone point for Millersville with a 6-4, 7-5 triumph over Liza Sylka of Wilmington at third singles.
Hayes is 11-2 overall on the year, including an 8-1 mark in third singles play and a 3-1 mark in Tournament play from earlier this year. Hui Jen Soo is 4-9 in first singles, Chloe Abramowitz is 3-6 in second singles, and Luci Consigliere is 3-6 in fourth singles.
In doubles play, the duo of Abramowitz and Consigliere is the top tandem as they are 5-2 in second doubles, while Hayes and Soo are 2-5 in first doubles as a duo.
